PMA Brakes

This all-steel Mill Type brake complies with American standard AISE No.11 covering d.c. Mill Motor Brakes. The design enables operation on all d.c. supplies up to 660 volts, shunt and series wound, with ratings in accordance with the standard. For a.c. operations up to 575 volts the brakes can be supplied with either integral or separate rectifier units. A number of advanced features are incorporated in the brake design, the robust reliable construction ensuring trouble-free operation and reducing maintenance to an absolute minimum. The coil on a Witton Kramer PMA brake can be wound to suit any existing control equipment or control gear can be supplied. These brakes are used widely in steelworks and are interchangeable with other popular more expensive makes.
